I’ve been working a lot on the Projects page recently, so I’ll list the changes here.
- Added mirror websites that you can play the game through the browser and download it instead of just here
- Clicking on the title of one of the games will make a (friendly)pop-up saying how you can share it
- Added a game
- ‘#[gamename]‘ stuff that I did
Not too much, but I think it’s an accomplishment(and was quite fun!!)! =D

I updated the Projects page.
You can also add a ‘#[gamename]‘ to the end of the Projects page URL and it’ll take you to that section of the page.
Example: http://blok-studios.com/projects/#climb will go directly to the Climb! section.
Also, Physics – Ball and Blok. Not necessarily a game, but it’s fun to play with.

I found a platformer engine for python/pygame! I may use it for an upcoming game
I would have preferred a tutorial, because, then I would be the one writing the code, but because Pygame isn’t as common as other languages, it’s quite hard to find one =[
Only thing I need to do next is to make multiple levels, etc. =)

Made with Pygame.
Although it may not seem obvious(unless you read the caption or read the window name on the picture), this game is made in Python using the PyGame API.
It’s quite simple, you use the arrow keys to move the red ball around on the gradient background. This is my first Python game, so have that in mind when criticizing it.
[insert video of current topic]
Here is a demo video of it.
Not much, but hey, it’s made with Python, and it’s my first game(with Python!).

I have made some changes to the website, as you can see.
It now looks much better, in my opinion. The theme I’ve used is borrowed from GameMakerBlog. It’s simple and basic, and that’s the way I like it.
You may have noticed(although, it’s not obvious) that there are two Home links in the header navigation bar. I’m not sure how to fix this, and it’s not harming the site in anyway, so I’ll just leave it. =)
As far game development goes, I haven’t done much. =\ I have been working on a platform engine though, which is looking pretty nice. However, I seem to be having trouble with collisions; I normally don’t get this, but because it’s an ‘advanced platformer’, it’s much difficult. It uses friction, so you slide when you stop moving a bit. I’m going to try to implement wall jumping, and make it very smooth, but that’ll be later.
I’ve also made some more music: I’ll put them on the Projects page!

Forgot to mention;
Happy Merry Christmas and New Year!
